Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how HydraB2B collects, uses, stores, and shares information when merchants install and use the HydraB2B Shopify application and related services.

Last updated: March 2026

Information We Collect

HydraB2B collects information needed to provide wholesale intelligence and management tools to Shopify merchants. This includes Shopify store information such as store name, store URL, plan details, product catalog data, inventory records, customer records, order history, and related operational metadata.

We also process customer contact information that merchants make available through Shopify, including customer names, company information, shipping details, and email addresses. For order and billing workflows, we may receive payment-related references from Shopify such as transaction status, payment method descriptors, order totals, and authorization references, but we do not collect or store full payment card numbers.

When merchants use the product, we also collect application usage information, authentication session data, support communications, and analytics events necessary to secure and improve the service.

How We Use Information

We use collected data to operate HydraB2B, synchronize Shopify records, generate wholesale intelligence, power AI-assisted insights, monitor account health, surface reorder and pricing opportunities, and support merchant workflows across the application.

We provide industry benchmark estimates based on published wholesale industry averages. These benchmarks are not derived from cross-merchant data on this platform and do not involve sharing any merchant data with other merchants.

Data Storage and Security

HydraB2B stores application data in Supabase-backed PostgreSQL databases hosted on cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted at rest and transmitted over encrypted connections. We apply administrative, technical, and access controls designed to limit access to authorized personnel and service providers that need the information to operate the service.

Third-Party Services and Processing

We use third-party service providers to deliver the service. These providers currently include Supabase for database and infrastructure services, Vercel for application hosting and deployment, and PostHog for product analytics.

For AI-powered features, HydraB2B uses Anthropic Claude API services. When merchants request AI-generated analysis, summaries, or recommendations, relevant account and operational data may be sent to Anthropic for processing on our behalf. We limit the data shared to what is reasonably necessary for the requested feature.

Industry Benchmarking

HydraB2B offers benchmarking features that compare your metrics to estimated industry averages based on published wholesale data. No merchant data is shared with or compared against other merchants on this platform.

Cookies and Analytics

HydraB2B uses essential session cookies to authenticate users and maintain secure sessions. We also use PostHog analytics cookies to understand feature usage, performance, and product quality. We do not use advertising cookies on these pages.

Data Retention

Merchant data is retained while the app remains installed. If a merchant uninstalls HydraB2B, merchant-linked data is preserved for up to 90 days to support reinstallation requests, support issues, and recovery needs, after which it is permanently deleted from our active systems.

GDPR and CCPA Requests

Merchants may request a copy of their data or request deletion of their data under applicable privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA. To submit a data export or deletion request, contact support@hydrab2b.com. We may verify the request before taking action.
